THIS VERY RARE 6 WINDOW LIMOUSINE WAS BUILT BY DAIMLER IN 1937 AND IS ONE OF ONLY 475 EVER BUILT. 10 OF THESE WERE SUPPLIED TO KING GEORGE VI FOR ROYAL USE. A VERY UNIQUE CAR IN ITS DAY WITH ITS SEMI-AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, ALL ALUMINUM BODY AND 30 GALLON GAS TANK. WE HAVE GIVEN HER THE ROYAL TREATMENT SHE DESERVES WITH A FULL FRAME-OFF RESTORATION IN OUR RECONDITIONING FACILITY HERE AT THE DEALERSHIP. ALTHOUGH IT WAS A LONG AND TEDIOUS RESTORATION, WE FEEL THE FINAL RESULTS WERE WORTH IT! IN THE 1930'S THIS TYPE OF DAIMLER WAS USED BY THE BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY AND WAS HONORED BY BEING DESIGNATED "BY APPOINTMENT TO THE KING". THE NAME DAIMLER IS COMPLETE AND SEPARATE COMPANY FROM THE PRESENT DAY "DAIMER-BENZ". THE DAIMLER COMPANY STARTED IN THE UK DURING THE FIRST DECADE OF THE 20TH CENTURY AND WAS PURCHASED BY JAGUAR OF GREAT BRITAIN IN THE MID 60'S.
